Metalitalia.com, in collaboration with MC² Live and Live Club, is pleased to announce the first confirmed bands for the twelfth edition of the Metalitalia Festival, which will take place on Saturday, September 27th, and Sunday, September 28th, 2025, at the Live Club in Trezzo sull’Adda (Milan), Italy.
The event will be preceded by an exclusive Warm-Up Party on Friday, September 26th, at the historic Bloom in Mezzago, with further details to be revealed in the coming months.
Once again, the festival will be a 360-degree experience, featuring a diverse musical lineup with numerous international bands and exclusive performances. Fans can also look forward to free meet & greets with all artists, a rich metal market, and the return of Metalitalia Ink, the dedicated area for tattoos and body art.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th, 2025
Headlining Saturday’s lineup will be DARK TRANQUILLITY, true pioneers of Swedish melodic death metal. Led by Mikael Stanne, the band remains one of the most influential and revered names in the genre, with a career spanning over three decades and a discography that has left an indelible mark on the global metal scene.
Also confirmed for the same day are SOEN, one of the most fascinating acts in modern progressive metal. Founded by former OPETH drummer Martin Lopez, SOEN have captivated audiences and critics alike with their refined, emotional, and deeply atmospheric sound, blending technical prowess with heartfelt expression for a truly unique musical experience.
From Germany, we welcome EQUILIBRIUM, champions of a powerful fusion of folk and melodic death metal. Over the years, their music has evolved into a heavier and more dynamic force, making them a standout name in the European metal scene.
Completing this first wave of Saturday announcements are IOTUNN, a highly acclaimed Danish band that has rapidly gained a significant following with their distinctive approach to progressive metal. Combining elegant progressive elements with a robust Nordic melodic death metal influence, they have quickly become one of the most promising names in the international scene.

Sunday’s headliners will be STRATOVARIUS, the legendary Finnish band that has written unforgettable chapters in power metal history. With a setlist that spans from the immortal classics of “Episode” and “Visions” to their latest releases, the band, fronted by Timo Kotipelto, promises another high-energy performance that will have the entire festival crowd singing along.
Joining the lineup are TWILIGHT FORCE, true champions of contemporary symphonic power metal. With their theatrical and fantasy-driven stage presence, the band will transport fans into their mystical universe, delivering instant-impact melodies and outstanding instrumental technique.
Representing Italy with great pride at this edition are ELVENKING, a band with a rich and dynamic sound that has carried the folk/power metal flag for the past 25 years.
We are also thrilled to announce the return of ANCIENT BARDS, long recognized as one of the finest symphonic power metal acts from Italy and beyond. With their grandiose orchestral arrangements and epic storytelling, the band, led by vocalist Sara Squadrani, will deliver their only show of 2025 at our festival.
