Following the announcement of the full line-up for the two main days of Metalitalia Festival 2026, set to take place on September 26-27 at Live Club in Trezzo sull’Adda (Milan), we are pleased to unveil the details of the official warm-up show, which will be held on Friday, September 25 at the legendary Bloom in Mezzago (Monza Brianza).
The event – free of charge for all Metalitalia Festival weekend ticket holders – will feature four established names from the Italian metal scene, each representing a distinctive musical identity and a solid artistic legacy.
Opening the evening will be DUIR, the atmospheric folk black metal outfit that recently returned with the acclaimed album “Catarsi”, a concept work set during the First World War.
Next up are GAME OVER, now firmly established as one of the leading forces in Italian thrash metal. Following years of relentless touring and critically praised releases, the Emilian quartet will present material from their brand-new album “When Darkness Falls”, due out this September.
The stage will then belong to THE FORESHADOWING, one of the most respected names in both the Italian and international gothic-doom scene. The show will also mark the band’s first ever live performance of material from their forthcoming album, scheduled for release on November 20th, 2026 via Lifeforce Records.
Closing the night will be DARK LUNACY, performing an exclusive set celebrating the 20th anniversary of “The Diarist”, widely regarded as the defining album of their career. A landmark release that helped shape the band’s unmistakable blend of melodic death metal and deeply cinematic storytelling, “The Diarist” remains one of the most influential and celebrated records to emerge from the Italian metal scene in the 2000s. This special performance will offer fans a rare opportunity to experience one of the band’s most iconic works in a dedicated anniversary show.
And that’s not all. The warm-up will also host a special Art Fusion event, where a few artists from the Italian metal community will create original artworks live throughout the evening, painting simultaneously on multiple canvases. The finished pieces will be available for purchase by attendees. More details will be revealed soon.

As mentioned, entry to the warm-up night is free for anyone who presents a valid weekend pass for the Metalitalia Festival at the Bloom entrance.
For everyone else, tickets will cost €10.
